My and my brothers came in from Chicago. The food is great. Portions are even greater but the prices… The best. We got the beef bbq ribs , beef short ribs, fried turkey chops, and bbq turkey tips. None of their sides have pork in them . We are grateful for that swing we keep dietary law! The recipes taste like somebody granny back there! Will be back

The food is really tasty good soul food. I haven't had a dish from there that I haven't like yet. And I've had the ocean perch, the salmon and the corn beef and cabbage all really good and of course the staple side dishes mac and cheese and yams, potato salad and dressing delicious also. The dessert doesn't disappoint either I've had cakes and banana pudding, peach cobbler and sweet potato pie all good. The only dish that my hubby had which he did not like was the meatloaf and it may be because of the type of gravy but that's the only one. He's a meat connoisseur so he's had the pork chops, meatloaf and turkey wings. My boys had the fried chicken wings which they Loved and the mac and cheese and the yams wish they also loved. They are available on UberEats and I also had takeout.

Good choice for local soul food. Never had anything bad here. Good soul food option when you don't have the time to cook. However, ordering for the holidays is more complicated than it should be. You call ahead, they take the order, but won't take payment over the phone? So you have to go up there twice to get a holiday order...

I recent ordered a pound of beef brisket and a half pound of beef sausage. I was with my dad, who also ordered a beef brisket sandwich. Neither of us had ever been here before, but I'll definitely be coming back soon. The beef brisket was so well-prepared it practically melted in my mouth. And the beef sausage was excellent! For the record, no one asked me to write this review. This review is organic. The meat they serve is really that good. When I was there, the owner was also there and when he realized I was a first-time customer, he gave me a taste test (which I didn't need, I have experience here and can recognize great cooked meat from looking at it) but he still insisted. Because he cares. And isn't a meathouse owner who cares about serving great food to each and every customer the definition of a great restaurant? It is to me. I'll be back. Multiple times.

First time here. Service was awesome. We ordered our food over the phone (on a Sunday) they were super busy, but the lady on the phone was super patient and respectful. The food was steaming hot. The greens were a little salty. The oxtails and meatloaf were amazing. We will definitely be back!
